Volume Loss & Skin Laxity

The way we age differs from person to person. Genetics and lifestyle play critical roles.   Two inevitable things that happen over time, however, are volume loss and skin laxity.

Starting around the age of 21 our bodies lose 1% of collagen per year so over time skin laxity sets in. Elastin and hyaluronic acid also start to deplete.  Elastin is a protein that allows our skin to bounce back from damage. Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring molecule that binds to collagen, which is essential to skin hydration.  The fat pads in our faces lose volume and also start to sag making the lower part of our faces look heavier.

Treatments are available to slow down the process and regenerate to recapture a more youthful appearance.  Aesthetic options include: PDO Threads, Injectibles like Sculptra and Radiesse, and PRP are just a few options available.
